Mark your calendars to join our monthly "Saturday Garden Gathers"!
Our Garden Gathers start onsite in May and take place monthly (on Saturdays) through October. They're your chance to get to know your way around the garden and its features, to meet other gardeners, and to put in your annual five volunteer hours to keep our garden fresh and healthy, whether it's pitching in with maintenance, mowing, weeding, or one of many other helpful tasks. Plus, each Garden Gather will feature a potluck and lawn games! It's fun for the whole family, so bring the kids too!
2026 Saturday Garden Gathers (workbees, plus potluck and games for the whole family!)
May 23, 2026: Workbee, potluck, and games – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
At our opening work bee, we'll get the garden ready for planting, organize the shed and tools, set up the water system, clean around the beds, fix beds as required, and more!
June 27, 2026: Workbee, potluck, and games – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Celebrate the summer solstice in the garden! We'll work on the Shared and Pollinator beds, and do other maintenance tasks as needed.
July 25, 2026: Workbee, potluck, and games – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Maintenance tasks, and tending to the Shared and Pollinator plots.
August 29, 2026: Workbee, potluck, and games – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Maintenance, weeding, mowing, and the start of harvesting for our Shared plots, plus potluck and games!
September 19, 2026: Seed workshop – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

October 24, 2026: Workbee, potluck, and games – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Time to close the garden for the season: draining and closing the water system, clearing out plots, turning compost, and maintenance as required. We will be welcoming anyone from the community who would like to help us with repairing beds!
October 25, 2026: Special repairs workbee - 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This special workbee is to finish repairs on several garden beds. If you love digging, or you know how to use a power drill, you are welcome to help! Experienced leaders will be on site to guide repairs.
