Waiver
I understand that I am responsible for my actions; I therefore agree to hold harmless the BPCG Coordinating Committee, the garden members, and the City of Ottawa for any liability, damage, loss or claim that may occur in connection with use of the site by myself, members of my household, or my guests.
I acknowledge that, in addition to maintaining my personal garden plot per the guidelines outlined in the Membership Agreement, I must contribute five (5) volunteer hours to communal gardening tasks every membership year, or buy out my volunteer hours at a cost of $15 per hour, to a maximum of $75. Volunteer activities enhance the efficient functioning of the garden and create a sense of community among members.
I acknowledge that by digitally signing or filling in the boxes below, my household agrees to membership for the spring 2025 to spring 2026 growing season and to abide by all guidelines, rules, and conditions outlined in the Membership Agreement.
I understand that I am responsible for my own behaviour and that of my household and any individuals I/we bring to the garden.
If I, my household members, or my guests do not abide by all guidelines, rules, and conditions outlined in this Membership Agreement, the Membership Coordinator has the right to cancel my household’s membership and my current and/or future use of the garden.
I have the right to appeal any such decision.
If I have exhausted the Garden’s conflict resolution options and am still experiencing a conflict, I may contact communitygardening@justfood.ca for support.
